Earlier in the year, Nexus, the 389-unit condo building coming to Denny Triangle believed they'd be closing units from November to February but now believes they'll be closing in Q1 of 2020. Per an email that recently went out:
In April, the NEXUS team celebrated the project’s “topping off event” as the building reached its full height. We have made great strides on the project since then, with the exterior glazing now complete, many of our interior building systems up and running, and the interiors taking beautiful shape.
Each day, numerous construction trades are busy at work on-site, however the high volume of construction activity in Seattle has resulted in constraints on trade availability and scheduling. As such, the project schedule has not been moving at the originally planned pace, and therefore the anticipated closing and move-in schedule has been delayed.
We have an updated schedule for building completion, which we are confident we will meet. Based on this schedule, we now anticipate closings commencing in Q1 of 2020.
Closings are still expected to take place over a 4-month period. A formal Notification to Anticipate Closings will be sent to all homeowners and their brokers approximately 60 days prior to the estimated receipt of the Occupancy Permit from the City of Seattle.
Once we are within 30 days of receipt of the Occupancy Permit, we will be able to establish specific closing dates and will begin notifying homeowners and their brokers of their scheduled closing date.
We appreciate your patience and are looking forward to delivering beautiful, quality homes to every NEXUS homeowner.
This isn't that surprising. Most buildings are delayed a few months.
