On Tuesday First Light held an event at the Cinerama for Seattle's top brokers. The place was full, we ended up in the back row! Word is that over 500 agents attended treated to First Light branded popcorn and sandwiches from Dahlia. Surprisingly the presentation was light on content on First Light but served as an introduction to the developer, architect and artist behind the project.
On the way out we received a packet with the information I was expecting to get from the presentation:

Later in the evening they held a VIP event at the sales pavilion but turned out that the sales pavilion wasn't ready for prime time and the party was moved to the Nest at the Thompson were we heard a little more from First Light's developer, Ian Gillespie. Sounds like a third of the invited attendees were from Vancouver, with the remaining two thirds of us from Seattle. He talked a lot about bringing what they've learned in Vancouver to Seattle though I would have loved to have heard specifics on what they felt Seattle was missing and that Vancouver had figured out. He also talked that West Bank's commitment to Seattle was long term and that they never intend to sell; "my children will screw them up" (one of his kid's was in attendance).
Sales center was supposed to open this Saturday with sales starting several weeks later but the opening of the sales center is now delayed.
